Ralph's Daily Devotional - Tuesday, July 3

Exodus 13:5-14:30 records Pharaoh's last attempt to destroy the Hebrews.  Sometimes, your biggest nightmare just won't seem to give up, be it a devastating illness out of control, a dysfunctional relationship or any destructive issue that you thought was finally over only to return in full force.  Such are the chariots of Pharaoh.  His ego and tenacity here are nothing short of incredible.  He can't let go. But neither can God, who can't let go of His promises, His people or His purpose.

Try never to think that the odds are so overwhelming and the enemy so great as to annul hope and faith.  Your enemy may still try to destroy you, even to the very end, but in the end it is God who has the final say (Psalm 77:15-21)!
