Ralph's Daily Devotional - Thursday, February 15

Proverbs 29:18 is of immense importance when it comes to successfully accomplishing our goals.  Without a vision, our gifts, dreams and efforts amount to nothing.  A vision is more than a vague hope or desire.  It's a focused and well-planned projection that takes into account whichever gifts, skills, sacrifices and investments we are willing to put in.

Our founding fathers, for example, had a vision to create a new nation.  Imagine all that was necessary to implement that vision into reality.  Often, many small businesses "perish" or fail simply because their vision did not take into account the immense effort and sacrifice needed.  Vision is eyesight that looks ahead clearly and carefully, focusing not only on the answers but the questions as well.

You need to be brutally honest when creating your vision to see if you really have what it takes to accomplish it.  God's vision in Revelation 21:1-5 is that of a new world.  This vision required Jesus' sacrifice!  He was willing to go to the cross to bring this future vision into reality when He returns. What's your vision? What are you doing to make it happen?
